This pages is a quick list of all the tests Cheyenne has had to date
and their results.
Blood tests:
- Complete Blood Count (CBC) - normal
|
- Comprehensive Chemistry Profile (Superchem) - normal
|
- Bile acids - normal (rules out liver shunt)
|
- Cryptococcus - negative
|
- Neospora - negative
|
- Ehrlichia - negative
|
- Anaplasma - negative
|
- Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever - negative
|
- Toxoplasma - negative
|
- Lyme C6 - positive; treated with Doxycycline for 30 days
|
- Thyroid panel (full 8-way panel) - all normal
(The 8-way thyroid test analyzes more than the 6-way test,
which in turn analyzes more than the (normal) 4-way test.)
|
Cardiac tests:
- Cardiac ultrasound. Normal.
|
- Two cardiac monitors, worn at different times, providing up
to five different 45 second cardiac histories. These are manually
triggered. Both negative.
|
- Holter monitor, providing about 24 hours of continuous cardiac
history. Normal, except some exercise related tachycardia (or
taccacardia).
|
Neurological tests:
- Three cranial MRIs, about four months apart, to check for any
abnormalities (tumor, injury, etc.) which might induce seizures.
All negative, except a congenital malformed sinus cavity; which
causes a slight "clicking" when she is resting and breathing.
|
- Three spinal taps to check for any abnormalities in the spinal
fluid. All normal.
|
Ophthamology tests:
- During her second hospitalization for cluster seizures,
Cheyenne was examined by a Ophthmologist because of her reduced
menace response. The Ophthmologist and Neurologist determine
the cause was not related to the seizures, but was a congential
defect called optic nerve hypoplasia (underdeveloped optic
nerves.)
